Full-Time Labor and Equipment Operator
An employee in this job classification is expected to perform the following work and any other related work as assigned by the Supervisor or Borough Manager.
Road Work & Maintenance: Filling in potholes, line painting, tarring cracks, Plowing, Cinder/salting, Street sweeping
General Building Maintenance: Plumbing, Painting, Masonry, Welding, Electrical, Carpentry
Stormwater Maintenance: Building/repairing catch basins, Piping, Flushing stormwater lines
Vehicle Maintenance: General maintenance (including, but not limited to oil changes, minor parts repair/change, tire changes, hooking up plows/salt and cinder spreader, etc.)
General Work: Shovel sidewalks, Concrete work, Cutting lawn/weeds, Lawn maintenance, Leaf collection
Operate all Borough equipment, including but not limited to heavy equipment, backhoe, roller, jackhammer, snow plow, dump truck, front end loader, skid steer, lawnmower, weed eater, chemical sprayer, etc.
The ideal candidate will be able to work and maintain digital records; read and understand basic blueprints; follow instructions; work independently and as part of a team; communicate with others; have computer knowledge, email, and data entry; be able to lift 100 lbs.
You must possess a valid PA Driver’s license.
The preferred candidate will have 2 years of experience or a certificate or degree in the following:
General Maintenance, Equipment Operation, Vehicle Maintenance, and Repair, Truck Driving
